But I don't like the way that the main character force himself to ...

A story about the landmines in a small village, even this book try to tell us a moving story. But I can guess what the author want to tell us after reading the chapter 3, only thing surprised me in the progress of eliminating risk of landmines is not only his little brother but also the girlfriend of main character injured by landmines. But I don't like the way that the main character force himself to finish his task, he always remember his girlfriend's whisper and try to escape from the her death. Even finally he said in front of her grave" I'll try to let go of you now." But I still don't like the way like a child's fairy tale.
